I would like to stay in my house…..?

I am just recently divorced and have been living in a town home that we bought together last year. I have been working as little as possible to raise my 2 year old, I am a RN so I can work 2-3 days a week. the problem is, I can’t afford the town home and when I called the mortgage co about my options, in more or less words, work more or change my lifestyle…which I assure you that it is one of just which to get by so someone else does not have to raise my baby. I have spoke to other lending co and they cant do anything because the market value of the house given today’s economy has decreased 30,000…no one will refinance me. I want to keep my house, but not more then I want to raise my daughter. Any suggestions you have would be most welcome and I thank you in advance for your answers…God bless.

Get a roommate to help with the bills. A senior citizen who would be happy to babysit while you get back to work.

Accept reality and realize that there is no magic pill and you will need to work full time, sorry that is the way it is welcome to the real world. So work more and change your lifestyle or live on the street Your choice

I’d advise you to take a job from home. There’s numerous ways to make money on the web, either by yourself, or simply going through the job listings and seeking out different jobs you can do from home. In fact, in websites devoted to job searching, there’s a whole category listed as "Work from home" jobs. Browse around. That way you’d be able to get some extra pay while taking care of your daughter.

Since you feel it is below you to work full time and you can not afford this house you have two options.

1 – Move somewhere that you can afford.

2 – Try to get enough alimony and child support to be able to live the life style you feel privileged to.
